Compare Multiple Cities and Plan Global Meetings
ToolGenie's free world time zone converter combines a live world clock, a time difference calculator, and a visual time zone meeting planner. Add multiple cities, scrub through the day, and compare the same instant everywhere without doing mental UTC calculations.
The converter uses named IANA time zones, so daylight saving time changes and date rollovers are handled automatically. It also supports half-hour and 45-minute zones, making conversions for India, Nepal, Newfoundland, Adelaide, and the Chatham Islands accurate.
Your city list, accent colors, and working hours are saved only in your browser. There is no account, upload, or server-side calendar access. For related planning, try the date difference calculator, timer and stopwatch, or Pomodoro timer.
What the Availability Colors Mean
The selected time is inside that city's preferred working hours.
The time is near the start or end of the availability window.
The selected time falls outside that city's preferred hours.
World Time Zone Converter FAQ
How do I compare time zones between multiple cities?
Add the cities you want to compare, then drag the shared timeline or use the arrow buttons. Every city updates to the same instant, so local times, dates, UTC offsets, and working-hour availability stay aligned. A Next day +1 or Previous day −1 badge warns when a city is on a different calendar day from My Time.
How do I find the best meeting time across time zones?
Scrub through the timeline and look for a time when the cities you need are green or yellow. Green means the selected time is inside that city's preferred working hours, while yellow marks an early or late edge that may still be workable.
What do the green, yellow, and red availability dots mean?
Green means the selected time is within the city's configured availability. Yellow means it is within one hour of the start or end of that window. Red means it falls outside the preferred hours.
Does the time zone converter adjust for daylight saving time?
Yes. ToolGenie uses IANA time zone data supplied by your browser, so daylight saving time and seasonal UTC offset changes are applied for the selected date automatically.
Can I add, remove, and customize cities?
Yes. Use Add city to append a city to the list, drag the handle to reorder cities, and open a city's settings to change its nickname, accent color, or availability hours. Every city, including My Time, can be removed; My Time returns when the page is refreshed.
Can I compare future or past dates?
Yes. Drag the timeline for minute-level control or use the left and right arrows to move in 15-minute steps across earlier or later dates. Press Now at any time to return to the current moment.
Does the converter support half-hour and 45-minute time zones?
Yes. The city list includes zones such as India, Nepal, Newfoundland, and the Chatham Islands, so half-hour and 45-minute offsets are displayed and converted accurately.
Is this world time zone converter free and private?
Yes. The converter is free, requires no sign-up, and runs in your browser. Your city list and preferences stay on your device in local storage and are not uploaded to ToolGenie.
